Helping refugee women with mental health services

ASU’s Southwest Interdisciplinary Research Center studied the Refugee Health Screener-15 to assess the mental health of female refugees, who are often the victims of violence. The screening tool helps assess women for anxiety, depression and posttraumatic stress disorder in a culturally sensitive way and helps them obtain mental health services, if needed.
